Bars, casinos, gyms, movie theaters and restaurants are closing their doors due to the spread of coronavirus. Cuomo on Monday said he "strongly" advises only essential businesses and services to remain open after 8 p.m. Monday. Confirmed coronavirus cases is approaching 1,000 in New York as 221 new cases were found within the last 24 hours. Seven people — five in New York City, one in Rockland County and one in Suffolk County — have died after contracting the coronavirus. There are 158 people who have been hospitalized. NY coronavirus cases in 20 counties, NYC; third death reported
There are confirmed coronavirus cases in 20 counties and New York City as COVID-19 continues to spread across the state. Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Sunday that at least 729 confirmed coronavirus cases have been reported statewide. The highest number of cases is in New York City, where 329 people have tested positive for COVID-19. Westchester County has 196 cases. No Visitors Allowed To Nursing Homes
Visitors will be not be allowed in New York nursing homes due to the coronavirus outbreak. Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday announced the prohibition and other measures to protect older New Yorkers who are vulnerable to contracting the respiratory illness. All remaining high school winter championships for basketball, bowling and ice hockey have been postponed the NYSPHSAA has announced.
