The New York State Public High School Athletic Association [NYSPHSAA] announced the start date for high-risk winter sports has been pushed back to Jan. 4 High-risk winter sports, include team oriented sports with little ability to play at a safe distance from teammates and/or their opponents. Geneseo Gains Tough Win And Then Suffers Tight Loss To Naples
There is the proverbial good and bad news for the Geneseo Blue Devils. The team first won a semi-final game edging out Bolivar Richfield by a score of 2-0. The Geneseo Blue Devils then went on to lose 1 to 0 to Naples in the Section 5 Class C2 finals at Naples Community Park. The Varsity Girls Soccer team traveled to Bath last night for their Semi-Final matchup against Bath. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the Rams. The Mustangs went down 3-0 in the first half of the contest. Geneseo Boys Varsity Soccer Team Advanced in the first round of the Sectionals with a 2 to 0 win over Marion at Geneseo. The first goal was scored by Ethan Bennett assisted by Sebri Fantauzzo in the first half.
