GENESEO – Despite the threat of scattered thunderstorms, Autumn Fest turned out to be a golden fall day. The Breezy weather was perfect for locals and parents visiting the local college to enjoy the best of what Main Street Geneseo has to offer.
There was literally dancing in the streets as two SUNY Geneseo dance organizations wowed the crowd on the corner of Center and Main. Featured was Bhangra’s lively Indian dancing, and a sneak preview to Sláinte’s performance with the Dady Brothers, part of the Geneseo Concert Series, scheduled to preform at 6pm in the park.

“I’m impressed,” said Kevin O’Connor, 21, a local student. “It’s great to see the community coming together and enjoying what this unique town is all about.”
Music was in the air as the Geneseo String band offered folk melodies to create festive fall atmosphere. Gentle giant Belgium horses pulled a carriage, a popular feature for young families. Ensuring public safety, SUNY Geneseo’s first responders could be seen carefully perusing the crowds.
Festivities are still going strong, so get out to Main Street Geneseo to catch the end of the talent show and enter a pumpkin in the wild Bank Street Pumpkin Race!
