: The car that lost brakes on Booher Hill Rd. was taken back out of the lake Thursday night. The driver was unidentified at press time.
A wild ride down Booher Hill Rd., across the West Lake Rd., and into Conesus Lake resulted in relatively minor injuries to the driver.
The accident occurred on Thursday evening, when the car drove between two houses and into the lake. The driver reported his brakes had failed going down Booher Hill Rd., and so he lost control, ran down the stop sign, crossed West Lake Rd., and continued into the lake. The driver was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with facial injuries as a precaution, but was unhurt otherwise.
The car went through a space left by a house that had been torn down after being hit by a car in the same way, several years ago. The stop sign at the end of he road was run over, but there were no other significant property damages.
