Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Conesus NY resident on felony charges after Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a motor vehicle crash.
On June 23, 2020 at approximately 7:40 pm Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Sliker Hill Road to investigate a single car motor vehicle crash where a vehicle had left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 38 year old Crystal A. Jischke. Jischke sustained minor injuries from the crash and was transported by EMS to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. Deputy Matthew Thomas, who is assigned to the Sheriff’s Office STOP DWI Unit, responded to the hospital for a DWI investigation.
Jischke did submit a blood sample as part of the investigation to test her blood alcohol content (BAC). The blood sample was sent to a forensic lab for testing. Jischke was released pending the results from the lab. A records check revealed that Jischke was driving on a conditional license after having her license revoked for a DWI related conviction on August 14, 2018. On July 16, 2020 Deputy Thomas arrested Jischke after lab results showed that her BAC was .23%.
Jischke was charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated, felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC greater than .18%, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree.
The DWI and AUO charges were felonies due to the previous DWI related conviction in 2018. Jischke was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. The offenses did qualify for pre-arraignment
