Car Accident Leads To Death of Six Year Old and Father Arrested

 

A car going off the road in Steuben County Monday evening resulted in the death of a 6-year -old girl with her father facing serious charges.  The father, Derek Clark (age 30) was driving on State Route 63  when he went off the road, New York State Police report.

The car hit a guide rail and a telephone pole before flipping over.  His daughter, Leah, died at the scene.

State Police charged Clark with driving while ability impaired by drugs and vehicular manslaughter in the second degree. He is being held in the Steuben County Jail.
