On October 6, 2022, at 11:55 pm, Michael A. Benzer, 33, of Canandaigua, NY, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree following a traffic stop on North Main Street. Following the traffic stop, it was determined that Benzer was operating his vehicle with a suspended license. He was arrested and later released on an appearance ticket to appear in the City of Canandaigua Court at a later date.
On October 7, 2022, at 7:33 pm, Melissa Lohnes, 42, of Canandaigua, NY, was issued a criminal summons for Harassment in the Second Degree stemming from the report of a disturbance at an Eastern Blvd business on September 20, 2022. Lohnes is alleged to have made threats of physical harm toward another female at that location. Lohnes is due to appear in the City of Canandaigua Court later.
On October 8, 2022, at 9:21 am, Benjamin Shur, 27, of Canandaigua, NY, was arrested for Petit Larceny following the report of a theft at a South Main Street business. Under the investigation, it was determined that Shur had left the store without paying for merchandise. Shur was arrested and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment at CAP Court.
On October 12, 2022, at 3:05 pm, Mark Rayburn, 63, of Canandaigua, NY, was arrested for Menacing in the Second Degree following the report of a disturbance at a Coach Street address on 10/01/2022. Under the investigation, it was determined that Rayburn had threatened another person with a baseball bat. Rayburn was arrested and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment at CAP Court.
On October 15, 2022, at 5:05 pm, Vincent Lanza, 58, of Canandaigua, NY, was arrested for Open Burning in violation of the City of Canandaigua Municipal Code following the report of burning refuse at a Tillotson Street address. Under the investigation, it was determined that Lanza had been burning leaves and sticks. Lanza was arrested and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the City of Canandaigua Court later.
On October 15, 2022, at 3:04 pm, John H. Morey, 53, of Canandaigua, NY, was arrested for Petit Larceny following the report of a theft at a South Main Street business on 10/08/2022. During the investigation, it was determined that Morey had stolen a bicycle behind the store. Morey was arrested and released on an appearance ticket to appear in the City of Canandaigua Court later.
On October 16, 2022, at 10:17 am, Damien Soyring, 23, of Canandaigua, NY, was arrested for Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and Disorderly Conduct following the report of a disturbance at a Tillotson Street address. Under the investigation, it was determined that Soyring had caused damage to a basement door and thrown various items destroying them in the process. Soyring was arrested and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment at CAP Court.
On October 18, 2022, at 6:39 pm, John A. Ceravolo, 60, of Canandaigua, NY, was arrested for Petit Larceny following the report of a theft on Saltonstall Street on 10/01/2022. Under the investigation, it was determined that Ceravolo had stolen $20 in cash from a business on Saltonstall Street. Ceravolo was arrested and released on an appearance ticket to appear in the City of Canandaigua Court later.
On October 19, 2022, at 2:22 pm, Gregory A. Hubbard, 41, of Canandaigua, NY, was arrested on an Arrest Warrant for Petit Larceny following the report of a theft at an Eastern Blvd business on 9/13/2022. During the investigation, it was determined that Hubbard had stolen merchandise totaling $321.49. Morey was arraigned on the charges at CAP Court as he was already held at the Ontario County Jail on a separate offense.
