Canandaigua Pedestrian Struck By Driver While Jaywalking

A Canandaigua pedestrian was struck by a Rochester driver on Thursday night, June 30, while jaywalking at North Main St. and Buffalo Street in Canandaigua. As a result, the victim, Michael Miller, 61, was hospitalized with serious, but not life-threatening injuries. He was attempting to cross the street while ignoring a traffic signal at the time he was hit.

The accident occurred at about 10 p.m.; the vehicle that struck him was being driven by Daphne Futerman, 67, of Rochester, who police determined was following traffic laws and therefore not charged.
