Lifelong Canandaigua Nick Cutri passed away at home on Nov. 6, just days after resigning his position as a city councilman.
Cutri was a lifelong resident of the community and, most recently, was a councilman on the Canandaigua City Council, a position he held for over 20 years. Nick owned and operated Frank Cutri and Son Construction for over 30 years. He later became the director of facilities and operations for the Canandaigua City School District for 18 years, retiring in 2012. He was a trustee on the Granger Homestead board and served as Buildings and Grounds’ Chairman.
Ellen Polimeni, former mayor of Canandaigua, will take his place on the council at Cutri’s request, although she added she would not be running to fill the seat at election time.
