LIVINGSTON COUNTY — A Caledonia man, charged with several sex crimes involving a minor, was arraigned in Livingston County Court by Judge Robert B. Wiggins.
Matthew Symonds, 41, appeared alongside his attorney, Jeannie Michalski, while the County was represented by DA Greg McCaffrey. Mr. Symonds was formally charged with a variety of sex related crimes including one count of a criminal sexual act in the third degree, rape in the third degree, as well endangering the welfare of a child.
Judge Wiggins further issued a complete “stay away” order of protection for the victim.
Symonds is currently being held in the Livingston County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond. At this time, the case has been adjourned until May 21st for further proceedings.
