CALEDONIA – Caledonia was proud to see one of their finest stand guard over Astronaut John Glenn as at the Ohio Statehouse on Friday.
U.S. Marine Jake McEwen, a 2015 alum of Caledonia-Mumford Central School, was among 40 of his fellow Marines who stood guard as many, many thousands attended and watched on national TV to pay their final respects to Glenn, a distinguished WWII fighter pilot, U.S. Senator, and the first man to orbit the Earth as he lay in state at the Ohio Statehouse.

More than 200 people have ‘liked’ the post since Cal-Mum CSD posted it at about 8 a.m. Saturday.
Glenn is to be buried in the coming week at Arlington National Cemetery.
