LIVONIA – Livonia High School and Middle School dismissed early Wednesday due to a burst water pipe.
Livonia Central Schools made a Facebook post announcing the incident. The High School & Middle School dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
“This morning a non-critical water pipe appears to have burst near the High School bus loop,” said Livonia Central Schools. “At no time, has the water service, pressure, or quality been impacted within the Middle School or High School. Therefore, we’ve continued to operate school as planned throughout the day. Our early dismissal is due to a need to shut off the water to the MS/HS facility to make necessary repairs.”
The High School, Middle School and Field House will be closed after the 1:30 dismissal. All afternoon and evening activities and events scheduled to take place at our Middle School or High School are canceled. And all afternoon and evening activities and events scheduled to take place at our Middle School or High School are canceled.
Any away athletic contests will proceed as scheduled.
Athletics and musical practices will be either moved to another location on campus or canceled. More information will be communicated by coaches, advisors, and in additional postings.
