LIVINGSTON COUNTY – An Avon man pled guilty to felony drug charges on Tuesday that stem from an incident in August 2014 when he gave Suboxone pills to a friend at the Greenway Motel in Mount Morris.
Though Brandon Cassada, 20, pled guilty to Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a C felony, and in the Fifth Degree, a D felony, his defense attorney, Marcea Clark Tetamore, head of the Public Defender’s Office, said that his restitution amount should be reduced to a civil judgment.

“My client has been incarcerated since the end of November,” said Tetamore. “We would ask that restitution be reduced to a judgement.”
The judge ultimately did not agree to reduce restitution, saying that Cassada’s potential incarceration time is relatively brief.
