BOYS HOCKEY: Walton Sets 3 Team Records for Lakers

GENESEO — Senior Mitchell Walton of the Geneseo/Livonia/Avon Lakers set a single-game and single-season points record, as well as a single-game assist record on Feb. 4.

Walton led the Lakers to an 11-2 victory against the Genesee Ice Devils, to tally up a game total of 3 goals and a season total of 47 points.

Also contributing to the win was Billy McDevitt with a game total of 3 goals and 3 assists.

Tyler Dolan, Michael Walton, Kyle Huber, Peter Taylor, and Zach deLeeuw each contributed 1 goal to the final score as well.

The Lakers have a season record of 12-5  and have won their past 8 games. They will return to host Notre Dame of Batavia at the Wilson Ice Arena on Feb. 7.
