BOYS HOCKEY: Lakers Fall to Notre Dame of Batavia in Playoffs

BATAVIA — The Geneseo/Livonia/Avon Lakers fell to Notre Dame of Batavia 5-3 in the second round of the playoffs at the Falleti Ice Arena.

The Lakers were up 2-1 in the second period when penalties took over and the Lakers had their backs against the wall.

Batavia was able to rattle off 4 points in the 3rd, mostly thanks to power play oppourtnities.

Senior Mitchell Walton led the Lakers with a game total of 2 points, scoring once in the first period and once in the third period.

Batavia was led by senior Ryan Webster with 3 out of Batavia’s total of 5 points.

The Lakers conclude their season with this loss as Batavia goes on to the third round of the playoffs.
