The Knights were led by Clay Cutting who had 24 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Matt McFarland added 12 points, 6 assists and 3 steals. Dylan Zambito had 11 pts.
York was on fire from behind the arc hitting 12 3 pointers.
“I’m really proud of our effort tonight in a really big environment, defensively we fell flat on our face Wednesday versus Avon and we showed up with a big time effort,” said Ed Orman, York Golden Knights Head Coach. “I was so happy to see us play loose and with passion and hunger. This group loves the game of basketball and it was fun to see them show that love tonight.”
York moves to 4-1 and will travel to Bath on Dec 20 to face the Rams.
“Geneseo missed some shots they probably made as well and we know that it will be a big chore to try and get them again at York in a few weeks,” said Orman. “We have the utmost respect for Coach ‘Pags’ and that group. I’ve known most of them since they were little kids and there is no doubt they will bounce back in a big way and be handful down the stretch.”
