YORK ADVANCES IN SECTIONALS TO MEET CAL-MUM FOR THE THIRD TIME THIS SEASON (FILE PHOTO)
York was led by senior Luke Logsdon, who scored 20 points and delivered a thunderous slam dunk that electrified the crowd.
“I really wanted to leave the gym tonight leaving my mark,” Logsdon said. “It’s been a tough year and to walk out of the gym tonight with a game like that makes my run here at York even more special.”
It’s been a tough season, but York is building momentum at the right time after having key injuries to Logsdon and Tyler Shutts.
“We are playing great basketball right now,” Logsdon said. “We have to focus on Cal-Mum so we can make it back to the Blue Cross Arena.”
Cal-Mum and York have great rivalry going. York defeated Cal-Mum during their holiday tournament, but then Cal-mum dominated them in the rematch. York was without senior Point Guard Tyler Shutts.
“The whole season has been about getting back to the Blue Cross Arena and the only thing in our way is Cal-Mum,” forward Nick Curry said. “They are a tough team, but since we will have Shutts in this game we will be able to play a different tempo.”
York (15-4) will battle Cal-Mum at R.I.T this Monday at 8:15.
