YORK WINS THEIR 10TH STRAIGHT (FILE PHOTO)
RETSOF — The York Golden Knights defeated the Warsaw Tigers, 55-44, to extend their win streak to 10.
On a breakaway layup in the second quarter, point guard Tyler Shutts suffered a knee injury. Shutts would not return, but finished with 6 points and 5 rebounds. Brett Curtis replaced Shutts at the point guard position.
“I knew when Tyler went down someone needed to step up,” Curtis said. “We just had to slow it down and take care of the ball.”
Luke Logsdon appears to be back at top shape. Logsdon finished with 12 points and almost-dunk, but was fouled on the play.
“I feel like my knee is at 100%, it feels great. I haven’t had any problems,” Logsdon said. “We’re really gonna need to play well against Cal-Mum definitely stop their transition game.”
The Knights (13-2) will take on the Caledonia Mumford Red Raiders (12-2) Wednesday night at 7pm. The game will be broadcasted live at tv.geneseesun.com
