RETSOF — The York Golden Knights pulled out another win tonight against the Avon Braves, winning by 11 points, 61-50.
From the start of the game there was a feel this was going to be a fight to the finish. York, after trailing by 6 at the half, came out ready to win it in the third quarter. It was a two-to-three point game well into the fourth, when York was finally able to take the lead.
“Our team chemistry kicked in the second half.” point guard Tyler Shutts said, leading his team with 21 points. “Coach Orman called a time out, had us switch to a 2-3 defense which sparked us a little bit.”
“Once we had the lead, we tried to keep them off balance.” head coach Ed Orman said, to explain his reasoning as to why he changed up the defense late in the fourth.
This Friday night the York Golden Knights will take on the Mount Morris Blue Devils, hoping to continue their winning streak.
“I expect Mountt Morris’ best game of the season.” Orman said.
