GENESEO – The Blue Devils defeated the visiting Pavilion Golden Gophers 59-40 in the final game of the regular season Wednesday night and earned the number six seed in Section V Class C2.

Junior guard Zach Clar led the Blue Devils with 13 points and junior center Marcus Griffin added 10 points and 13 rebounds. The Golden Gophers were led by senior guard Hayden Ewell with 15 points.
“It was a really good team effort tonight,” said Blue Devils Head Coach Brian Paganin. “I thought a lot of guys gave us good minutes and we were able to pull away in the 2nd half.”
The Blue Devils finished the regular season 13-6 overall with an 8-3 league record.
“We’re looking at being the 6 seed going into sectional play. There are a lot of quality teams in our bracket but hopefully we can play our best basketball and make a deep run.”
