The Eagles were led by sophomore Connor Englert and senior Jack Gibson, scoring 1 run each, as well as senior pitcher Eythan Briggs, pitching a game total of 5 strikeouts.
On the Blue Devils’ side, 1 run was scored by sophomore Russell Brownell. Additionally, senior pitcher Brian Linton pitched a total of 6 strikeouts.
“I can’t remember the last time I was involved in a quicker moving game,” said Blue Devils coach Nick Drollette. “Both pitchers threw really well and neither team made an error, so it was really a baseball fan’s dream game.”
Eagles will return Apr. 28 to take on the Livonia Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m, and the Blue Devils are set to host Warsaw on Apr. 26 at 4:30 p.m.
