The Blue Devils came into the game with hot bats scoring 5 runs within the first four innings of the game while only recording 7 hits throughout the entire game.
“It’s always good to get a win against a bigger school like Hornell,” said Head Coach Nick Drollette. “I felt we did a nice job of putting the ball and play and although we only recorded 7 hits, it was clear that our offense is starting to click. I think a characteristic of this team that I like the best is the ability to hit top to bottom. If the top guys in our lineup don’t hit someone else will and that’s really encouraging as we prepare to head into the post season.”
Throughout the game the Blue Devils had a lot of clutch hitting due to batters such as Jake Clar who went 2-3 with 2 RBI’s and Trevor Frazier who also went 2-3 with a RBI.
Blue Devils are taking on Perry/Mount Morris in their final game of the regular season tomorrow at 4:30.
