AVON–The Avon Braves defeated the Warsaw Tigers in a close game 4-2 after battling for 3 innings without getting a single hit or man on base.

Both teams started off slow offensively due to great pitching performances by both pitchers. Braves Pitcher Brandon Gingher pitched a phenomenal game striking out 10 batters and only giving up 2 runs in 7 innings pitched.
Gingher was throwing a perfect game until the fifth inning when the Tigers bats finally came to life with a lead off double by the first batter of the inning.
The Braves scored the first run of the game came in the fourth inning when Spencer Arnold hit an RBI single to bring in Gerad Coyne from second base.
The Tigers quickly struck back the next inning to tie the game although they could never take the lead when given the opportunity with men on base. The Braves quickly took back the lead with 2 runs in the sixth inning to secure their victory over the Tigers.
The Braves next game will be against the York Knights at Dwyer Stadium in Batavia.
