Boys Baseball: Geneseo Blue Devils Win Close Game Against Caledonia-Mumford

GENESEO–The Geneseo Blue Devils defeated the Caledonia-Mumford Red Raiders in a great pitching duel 2-0 making their record 9-1 for the season.

Blue Devil Pitcher Jameson Moran pitched an amazing game giving up no runs throughout seven innings and originally had a no-hitter going until the sixth inning when the Red Raiders reached base on their first hit.

The only run production in the game came in the first inning from Blue Devil First Basemen Sean Kelly who hit a shot into the left center field for a 2 run inside the park home run.

After the first inning both teams struggled with get any hits due to great opposing pitching on both sides.

The Red Raiders started to rally within the last inning although couldn’t get the tying run in from first base.

The Blue Devils look forward to continue their success against Notre Dame (Batavia) on Saturday, May 1 at 3:00.
