Bloomfield – Peter D. Elder ~ January 19, 2021

 

At age 81, Peter passed away peacefully at his home in Bloomfield with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Peter was born in New York, NY to the late Donald and Helen Elder.  Peter was predeceased by his son; Scott Elder.  Survived by his beloved wife of 62 years; Phyllis “Tillie” Elder, his children; Robert (Rebecca) Elder Sr., Melody Frye, Helen (Richard) Kaptein, his grandchildren; Robert (Alisa) Elder Jr., Kevin (Bridget) Elder, Elizabeth Kaptein, Adam Kaptein, Kyle Jr. Frye, Maryellen (Larry) Orr, Rachel (Dan) Santevecchi, his great-grandchildren; Gracie, Mason, Maverick, Colby, Levi, Wyatt, Owen, Emma, Joey, Jonny, his godchildren; Brian Broadwell and Tracy Doerr, along with several brothers, sisters, and friends.

Today Becomes Tomorrow too Fast!
Have you noticed how quickly today becomes tomorrow?
Where does the time go?
Days fade into weeks, weeks to months and months to years.

a man who means so much, to so many.
He was and is so much to, so many.

He touched our lives in so many ways.
The Man, who stole my mother’s heart
The Father who raised 4 children who all have their individual memories to hold.
The Grandpa who loved to teach his grandkids about fishing and hunting.
The Great Grandpa who loved watching the kids grow and learn.
The friend who would give the shirt off his back to help you out.

You CAN NOT change yesterday!
However, we know this man is in a better tomorrow.
Today became tomorrow in the blink of an eye.
Make a fresh start in your tomorrow Dad.
Be free of pain and worry.
Rest in peace Dad.
