LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The Livingston County Board of Supervisors appointed Bill Bacon as Economic Developer on Wednesday.
The position was vacated when previous Economic Developer Julie Marshall resigned in February 2016.
“I recommend his without reservation,” said County Administrator Ian Coyle at Monday’s Ways and Means Committee meeting. “We received six applications, interviewed four, and Bill Bacon rose to the top. He is a lifelong resident of North Dansville, vice president of Five Star Bank commercial banking, and a past president of the Chamber of Commerce.”
Bacon left his capacity as vice chairman of the Livingston County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) Board of Directors to become Economic Developer effective Wednesday. He has been a member of the IDA for the past 12 years.
“The other applicants were good but not passionate,” said Ways and Means Committee Chair and Caledonia Town Supervisor Daniel Pangrazio.
