GENESEO – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after an accident with a car Wednesday afternoon near the Doty curve on 20A headed towards Mount Morris.
According to first responders on scene, the male motorcyclist was headed south on 20A at about 4:30 p.m. when he collided with a Subaru Outback which was entering traffic from a stop sign near Onondaga Hall on the SUNY Geneseo campus.
The motorcyclist sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital in a Livingston County EMS ambulance.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a shirt at the time of the accident but was wearing a helmet.
The driver and occupants of the Subaru were not injured.
Traffic was closed on 20A between Mary Jemison Drive and Rte. 63 while first responders worked at the scene.
Firefighters and an ambulance crew with Geneseo Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene alongside a Livingston County EMS crew, Geneseo Police, and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
