LIVONIA — The LeRoy Oatkan Knights defeated the Geneseo Blue Devils to earn the Section V Class C1 title.
A hard fought 8 innings of sectional baseball left the Oatkan Knights on top of the Blue Devils 4-3.
This game was battle all the way to the last at bat.
In the 7th inning, the Oatkan Knights found themselves up 3-2. With 2 outs and a man on third base, Jason Valentine had a bloop single right over the shortstop’s head to tie the game up 3-3.
But that wouldn’t be enough. The Oatkan Knights drove in another run in the top of the 8th to go on to win the game 4-3.
The LeRoy Oatkan Knights will play the Avon Braves at a site and time TBD.
