BASEBALL: Geneseo Moves Into Finals With Victory Over Warsaw

BATAVIA — The Geneseo Blue Devils defeated the Warsaw Tigers 6-2 to advance to the Section V C2 bracket  finals.

Daniel Kaye had a great game at the plate going 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI.  Jake Hamilton earned the win scattering 4 hits and striking out 6.

“This was another great game that we were able to come out on the right side of. We said coming in that we had a very tough side of the bracket with Cal-Mum and Warsaw,” said Geneseo Head Coach Nicholas Drollette. “Jake pitched very well tonight and I was really happy to see how well he mixed his pitches. Defensively we played another solid game behind our pitcher and that really helps for confidence on the mound.”

Geneseo faces top seeded Red Jacket Saturday at Dwyer stadium in Batavia.
