BASEBALL: Countryman Pitches Complete Game to Beat Letchworth

AVON— Maxx Countryman threw a complete game in Avon’s 6 to 1 win over Letchworth on Friday.

Countryman recorded 4 stikeouts while allowing only 4 hits and 1 run over 7 innings. Aaron Ghent batted 3 for 4 with a home-run, and Peyton Parmeter had 2 RBIs.

Letchworth’s only run came off the bat of Sam Shearing who went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI.

This is the second  complete game that Maxx Countryman has pitched this season, and his fifth win as a starting pitcher.

The win against Letchworth puts Avon at 13 wins and 1 loss this season as they prepare to face LeRoy on Tuesday, May 15.
