“It was a good team win,” said Red Raiders pitcher Brady Sass. “We got to 5-0 in the league, got 2 games up on LeRoy, and now we are 11-1 on the year, so far.”
Sass finished pitching in the fifth inning, allowing seven hits, two walks, and one run. He finished with a total of 11 strikeouts, three coming in the first inning.
LeRoy scored their last five runs in the top of the seventh inning. Marcus Mistersaro hit a three-run home run, to bring the score to 8-6.
“Tonight’s a night where we didn’t bring our A-game,” said Red Raiders head coach Todd Walker. “But, we still managed to get by.”
Caledonia-Mumford will play Alexander this Friday at the University of Rochester at 7:30.
“We are going to try to get another win against Alexander this Friday,” Sass said.
