The win came after a hard fought game against Ticonderoga on Saturday. The Braves battled back from an 0-2 deficit in the third inning, only to go down 2-5 after the fourth inning. Avon persevered, scoring one run per inning to force the game in to extra innings, where the braves scored one run and held Ticonderoga scoreless.
Avon pitcher Peyton Parmeter recorded the win for the Braves allowing only 3 hits and 2 runs over 5 innings pitched. Offensively, Ian Read went 2-for-2 with 1 RBI, and Nate Wojslaw went 2-for-4, also with 1 RBI.
