GENESEO — The Geneseo branch of the Bank of Castile and their affiliates Tompkins Insurance donated over 300 dollars to the Cancer Services Program for colon cancer patient awareness and prevention programs.
These efforts were prompted by the Main Streets Go Blue campaign for the month of March that included the villages of Livingston County.
Bank employees donated money for a dress down day, and the Bank of Castile then matched the proceeds.
Jennifer Rodriguez, the Public Health Director at the Livingston County Department of Health stated, “The Livingston County Department of Health sincerely thanks the employees of the Bank of Castile and Tompkins Insurance for their generous donation to the vital program.”
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, colon cancer is the 2nd leading killer among cancers.
