Bad Stop Lamps Put Brakes on Driver High on Heroin in Geneseo

GENESEO – A Wellsville, NY resident was arrested for Inadequate Stop Lamps on Thursday on Ryan Drive, but the kicker was that he allegedly was also under the influence of heroin.

According to a press release from Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian, Jared Coleman, 27, was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Needle and Inadequate Stop Lamps.

Officer Benjamin Swanson arrested Coleman after he was found to be driving under the influence of heroin.

Five hypodermic needles were also found in his possession.

Coleman is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court at a later date.
