AVON — Two Canandaigua residents were pulled over after allegedly failing to use there turn signal, where the driver was alleged to have been drunk and driving on a suspended license, and the passenger was alleged to have a couple baggies of heroin in his pockets.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Maureen Washburn, 58, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree, an E felony, DWI, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh degree, and numerous Vehicle and Traffic violations. The passenger, Christopher Filiey, 64, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree for allegedly possessing five baggies of heroin.
Both Washburn and Filiey were arraigned in the Town of Avon Court. Filiey was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $500 dollars cash bail and Washburn was remanded to the jail on $1,000 dollars cash bail.
Both arrests were handled by Deputy Michael Wade, assisted by Deputy Brandan Flickner, both of the LCSO STOP DWI Unit.
