AVON – The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office ended their investigation into Thursday’s suspicious accident at Dutch Hollow Market with a felony arrest on Friday.

Jon Jarrell, 62, was arrestred for felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree and Driving While Intoxicated.
Security camera footage shows Jarrell’s eastbound vehicle veering off the right shoulder of E Avon Road at about 10:30 a.m., bouncing through a ditch crossing back through the westbound lane and off the westbound shoulder toward the Exxon gas pumps at Dutch Hollow Market.
A young man unassumingly topping off the gas tank on his first car watches the oncoming car shave a utility pole and head straight for him. Jarrell’s car collides with the young man’s vehicle. Jarrell’s driver’s side door airbag deployed, but no one was injured in the accident.
Jarrell had to be cut from the vehicle and transported to the hospital for a sudden unexplained illness.
Jarrell’s vehicle went into reverse after the impact and started to back away from the accident, but as witnesses rushed to his driver’s side door, the vehicle went back into park.
At the scene, GeneseeSun.com reporters saw a worker at Dutch Hollow Market assisting investigating Deputies. Deputies reviewed the above video as part of the investigation.
Deputies took Jarrell into custody after his release from the hospital.
An Avon Justice arraigned him and remanded him to the Livingston County Jail without bail based on prior felony convictions.
