AVON — According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, on September 23, 2018 at approximately 10:15 pm, Deputy Shawn Whitford was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Operation Safe Interstate initiative when he stopped a vehicle on East Avon-Lima Rd. in the Town of Avon after observing a violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law on Interstate 390.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as 29 year old Katelynn A. Ladelpha. While the Deputy Sheriff was speaking to the driver, he observed the strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Further investigation by the Deputy Sheriff revealed that Ladelpha was not only in possession of marijuana but also a quantity of LSD.
Ladelpha was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Ladelpha was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
Ladelpha was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LCCAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Groveland Justice David Livingston. The Judge did remand Ladelpha to the custody of the Sheriff on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.
