AVON – The owner of All Seasons Wine and Spirits has approached the Town Board on Thursday with his vision for a vineyard on his property.
Rick Doudt, owner of All Seasons Wine and Spirits on Main Street, is not just a wine lover, he grew up on the very soil that produces some of the world’s finest wines.
“Being from Naples and grapes, this seems fun and exciting,” said Doudt. “I won’t be producing wines, I want to be a crop farmer. I already have three wineries who are willing to buy from me.”
Doudt said that he has already made long-term investments towards the project by clearing land and installing shamrock fencing.
He has established a DBA name for the operation, dubbing it ‘All Seasons Vineyard.’
Avon Town Attorney Jim Campbell is looking into the zoning for the area to make sure that it is properly zoned for agriculture.
All Seasons Wine and Spirtits features specialty wines from NY State, and unique wines and spirits from around the world.
