AVON – Joseph Geer, who has served as interim chief of police in the Village of Avon was officially appointed full-time chief of police at the Nov.19 Avon Village Board meeting. He has served with the Avon police force for 11 years, and before that, served with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.
