AVON — A car rear ended an Avon school bus with seven students on it deploying the vehicle’s airbag, and sending two people to the hospital for evaluation.
The accident, which occurred at approximately 3:30 PM, happened on Avon-Geneseo Road just south of the Five Arch Bridge, the vehicle that hit the school bus was a Dodge Charger. The injuries are being classified as as minor at this time.
The school bus driver complained of shoulder injuries, one child complained of a head ache. According to EMS two people were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
Officials are still on scene continuing to evaluate those involved in the accident.

UPDATE: A total of three people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, two students and the driver of the bus. The driver of the car was issued a ticket for follwing to close to a vehicle.
