On Sept. 20, the Avon Lions Club dedicated the Avon Lions Centennial Clock to the Village and Town of Avon.
“The clock funding came in part from the club and personal donations from individual Lions but also was made possible through the generosity of of several business, the Village and Town of Avon and the Lioness Club,” Clock Chairman, Lion Jim Carney stated. “In years to come, when our current members are no longer here, this clock will continue to stand as a testament of the great work that Lions has done in the past and will continue to do in the future.”
The clock is a gift to the community, celebrating Lions Club’s years of devotion to the area. Locally, the Avon Lions Club provides services such as the screening of eyes for children, scholarships, and sponsoring guide dogs for the blind.
