The 150th Memorial Day service was held in Avon today.
The parade included Avon veterans, the Avon Central Schools Band, Avon Girl and Boy Scouts as well as first responders from the Avon and East Avon Fire Department, Police Department and Ambulance Service. The Ceremony was headed by various speakers including a resident with family in the military Leo Pusateri.
“This is Avon, home of the Braves, but also home of the brave for all the men and women who serve here,” said Busatari. “I thank all of you ladies and gentleman who served us so proudly protecting us.”
