AVON— The Village of Avon is looking to revamp their laws when it comes to hunting.
According to Village of Avon Trustee Mark McKeown, the Village is looking to amend Village Code, Chapter 65, “adding bow hunting to the law for normal hunting season by permit only, and after season harvest from January to March.” said McKeown in an email to the Genesee Sun.
In order to hunt, all hunters would need a valid hunting license and prior permission from the property owner and the Village Board.
At the end of hunting season, hunters would need to get the same approval from the landowners and a permit from the Village through the Deer Committee.
More to come when there is more information.
