Avon Community Playground Groundbreaking Ribbon Cutting Tomorrow

AVON — Through a massive community effort Avon will celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for it’s new modern and innovative playground at the Avon driving park from 5-6 pm on April 30.

The community effort brought donors from multiple levels from students at St. Agnes up to larger corpoorate donors like  Barilla.

“We are very excited and happy to support this important initiative.  In addition to the pure joy and physical benefits of play, which is an important part of the Mediterranean Way of living, the playground has another important role for our children,” says Jean-Pierre Comte, President Barilla Americas.

The playground, which is designed for kids ages from 2-5, cost approximately $80,000.
