Avon Braves Eliminated from Tournament

AVON– The Avon Braves are officially eliminated from the playoffs after their 52-44 loss against the Gananda Panthers on Friday night.

The game started off extremely defensive with both teams only scoring a combined total of 17 points in the first quarter. The Braves held the lead throughout the first quarter but lost it to the Panthers in the second quarter when Panthers guard Bradlee Doway (18pts) began to get hot from the three point line.

The Braves began to put together a come back in the third quarter but were never able to take the lead due to phenomenal defense by the Panther Center Luis Lopez who recorded 3 blocks, 11 points, and 10 rebounds in the game.

The Braves made a great effort in the Fourth quarter but were struggling to pull down rebounds due to the physical height of the towering Panther big men.
