Dan Welch had a 50-yard run on the first play from scrimmage, and T.J. Crye had an 18-yard touchdown pass to John Ambroselli just under two minutes into the game, and the Braves never looked back.
“Our defense played great,” said senior defensive lineman Jack Eichhorn. “We stayed low up front and made some great plays in the backfield.”
Crye added two more touchdown passes, Welch ran for two and Josh Deragon added another score as the Braves rolled to a convincing win.
Junior Kurtis Haut, whose 15-yard touchdown run gave the team its only touchdown of the night, led the Raiders offensively.
“Our defensive and offensive coordinators called a great game,” said coach Andy Englert. “It was a great team effort and a great atmosphere tonight.”
The Braves (4-1) travel to Warsaw next Friday, while Cal-Mum (4-1) will take on Perry at home.
