GENESEO — Kick off Autumn this year with chicken wings, live music, and an assortment of fun activities at the Association for the Preservation of Geneseo (APOG) third annual Autumn-Wing Festival.
The festival will be Sept. 24 from noon to 4 p.m. in coordination with Autumnfest and features the annual Valley-wide ‘best wing’ contest (the reigning champ… Geneseo’s own Village Tavern), a wing eating competition, a pumpkin hunt and pumpkin toss on Main Street, a beer tent, a vegetarian-friendly food truck, flowers sold by the Rotary club, face painting, live Americana music from Grooveland Station and others, and a pumpkin toss among other things.
“This year is shaping up to be even bigger and better than last,” said Kurt Cylke, member of APOG. “We’re really fortunate to have the support of so many nonprofits in Geneseo this year. They make this event possible.”
Tickets can be purchased for $10 at apog.brownpapertickets.com, Good Spirits, Beach Comber, Village Tavern, and The Nines; or $15 the day of the event. All proceeds go to the APOG Save the Wall Project.
