Marjorie Byrnes won her second term for the Assembly by a large majority.
“The term “massive landslide” is too cliché for this victory” said one of her enthusiastic supporters, who then went on to suggest Ms. Byrnes won in a “tsunami of votes.” The Assemblywoman won Steuben County with a whopping 79% of the votes. Livingston County gave her 73% and even the strong Democratic County of Monroe pitch in with 56%.
“I am overwhelmed with gratitude,” said Ms. Byrnes, “and am resolved to try even harder to represent my district during this upcoming harsh times.”
“Byrnes deserves the overwhelming support,” said another voter, “during her tenure I would constantly hear from others how she attended events, addressed needed legislation and stived to ensure the needs of the individuals were being taken care of.
