Around the Sun: Introducing Livingston County’s Only Video Broadcast Studio

For Josh and I, 2016 has been a year for the record books.

Josh spent 9 months in Maryland at the U.S. Department of Defense’s video broadcast school, during which time I ran the GeneseeSun.com as a solo operation.

Josh and I each broke many, many unique, original, local stories over that time, he as Public Affairs Officer for the Air Force’s 914th Airlift Wing and I as Livingston County’s online news source. We put many miles on our cars and burned a lot of midnight oil, and it all paid off.

We have higher viewership (about 70,000 unique devices per month) and more paid subscribers (about 1,000) than ever. Over the past two months, we have nearly doubled our space at 75 Main Street, Geneseo and built the Sunroom, Livingston County’s only video broadcast studio.

Each of our $2-per-month subscribers, our advertisers, our news partners News10NBC and our loving friends and family made that happen.
