GENESEO — The Association for the Preservation of Geneseo (APOG) has announced an architectural scavenger hunt in Geneseo Village.
The scavenger hunt consists of 21 photos taken throughout the village. Participants must find and record the street addresses of the buildings featured in the photos.
“All of design elements are clearly visible from the public sidewalk and are within the Historic District, South Street to North Street, Main Street to Highland Road,” stated Jim Whitehead in a press release. “This year’s theme is Geneseo: Eyes Up, so look upward to find the answers.”
The first place winner will be announced at the fifth annual Genesee Valley Chicken Wing Festival on September 22. The grand prize is $250, and the winner will be the entry with the most correctly identified photos.
Contest booklets are available at Sundance Books, Touch of Grayce, and the Wadsworth Public Library. Entries must be returned to one of the three businesses no later than Thursday September 20th, or mailed to APOG P.O.Box 294, Geneseo NY 14454.
